The Marine Corps Base (MCB), Camp Lejeune Cultural Resources Management Program's mission is to manage, preserve, and demonstrate sound stewardship of the public trust for the cultural resources under our responsibility while providing for the sustained and enhanced opportunity to accomplish the military training mission. Through an integrated approach to historic properties management consistent with Federal law and Marine Corps policy, this mission applies to all military organizations and other authorized activities located on MCB, Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), New River, and Marine Corps Outlying Landing Field (MCOLF), Oak Grove; and applies to all archaeological sites and historic buildings and districts under the management of MCB, Camp Lejeune that have been determined significant and eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
