Since the 1920s, your United States Marines have been responsible for safeguarding US Mail. Today, We continue to uphold that tradition and are dedicated to providing outstanding postal support to our military members and their families.
All members arriving or departing Camp Lejeune need to check-in and check-out of their unit mail room and fill out a Change of Address Card with USPS.
Single service members residing in the barracks must use their unit address to receive mail. Personnel who reside off base, or in base housing, are provided mail services by the local USPS and are not authorized to use the unit mailing address.
The Consolidated Postal System only accepts and delivers packages from FEDEX, DHL or UPS that meet USPS acceptance criteria.
Unit Mail Clerks (those with DD Form 285) and those who are on signed Appointment Letters (PS Form 3801) are authorized to pick up mail from their servicing military post office. Those who pick up mail for their units must accept or rework the mail given to them.
Mail and packages are only deliverable assigned box addresses. Addresses containing building and room numbers are not deliverable and will be returned to sender.
Those who are unable to pick up mail can take the Mail Indoctrination Course at the Main Post Office. The dates are posted at the Mail Call Section.
Mail can only be transported by person or by government vehicles.
Unit addresses consist of four distinct address lines; below is an example address:
1st Line: Rank and Full Name
2d Line: Unit and Section
3d Line: PSC Box 20xxx
4th Line: Camp Lejeune NC 28542-0xxx
For inbound personnel, it is a good idea to include your estimated date of arrival on packages. Mail can be held up to 30 days to await your arrival.
We offer six full-service post offices across the Camp Lejeune community, including MCAS New River, Camp Johnson and Camp Geiger.
