JACKSONVILLE, N.C. -- Corporal David Shirley, a heavy-machine gunner with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 2d Marines, takes instruction from motorcycle safety instructor Debbie Hangsleben June 11 at Coastal Carolina Community College. Shirley, who survived a motorcycle crash a year ago, took the course to improve his abilities and learn the proper way to ride a motorcycle. "I guess if there is one thing I can share with everyone, it's to make sure to your wearing all your riding gear," he said. "Never drink and drive. I was lucky. My accident could have been a lot worse." (Official Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Shane Suzuki)
