A simulated Improvised Explosive Device was set off by instructors during the Logistics Officer Course Field Exercise in the Verona Training Loop aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, March 26. “The Logistics Officers Field Exercise is designed to be the final evaluation for 2nd Lt.’s and officers on their ability to conduct convoy operations, run the command and control center and set up and maintain a camp site,” said Major Michael Vincent, the Logistics Officers Course Manager.
