Kelly Tingle, wildlife technician with Biological Science, Environmental Management Division, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, replaced old wood shavings in wood duck nests during an annual nest box maintenance check, Jan. 23. But EMD and patrons aboard MCB Camp Lejeune have contributed to the restoration of the ducks and other birds by providing nest boxes, which are artificial cavities for the ducks that nest here year-round.
