Solar panels recently installed like the ones on these two homes are expected to provide nearly 75 percent of the energy needed to supply domestic hot water for the homes. This will prevent 1,035 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year, which is equivalent of taking 255 cars off the highway or planting 10 acres of trees.
