Although they may not look like much now, these metal bases will hold glass wall panels, which will memorialize the names of more than 58,200 Vietnam veterans. These panels will make up part of the Onslow Vietnam Veterans Memorial, currently under construction in the Lejeune Memorial Gardens outside of Camp Johnson’s front gate. Phase one of construction is well under way and a dedication ceremony is slated for June 13 at 11 a.m. For more information about supporting the construction of the memorial, visit onslowvietnammemorial.org.
