Shipping Cargo from Camp Lejeune​

Items to be Shipped

Must be properly packed prior to this office accepting them for shipment. Individual or unit packed gear is acceptable as long as appropriately packed and suitable for transport. Items containing hazards or require special handling must be packed by the Preservation, Packing, Packaging and Marking (PPP&M) unit. This is to allow for added documentation and third-party inventory for serialized or high value items.            ​

FUNDING AND AUTHORIZATION TO SHIP

(Click to view sample) All shipments must be properly funded via the use of a Transportation Account Code (TAC). Consult with your unit supply or comptroller that funding exists and is on file with this DMO. If funding is not already on file, then documentation authorizing the funding must be provided to include if funding source is outside the DON / USMC.        ​

DD form 1149

(Click to view form with instructions) The form is used to ship any item regardless of size. This form describes the item being shipped, who is shipping it, where it needs to be shipped and identifies the funding. This will become the source document for the shipment and the information contained will be used to process the shipment and allow for tracking the shipment from origin to destination.       ​

Dropping off your item to be shipped

DMO has three locations to drop off your shipment.  ​

  • Bldg. 1011 Ash Street located in the industrial area.  Accepts all shipments ​

  • Bldg. AS-4307 located at the back gate MCAS New River.  Accepts all shipments except HAZMAT. ​

  • Lot 201. Located between Holcomb Blvd and Piney Green Rd. Accepts only large shipments usually rolling stock / individual items in excess of 4000 lbs.  (click for Lot 201 staging tips) ​

Certain criteria may require that an item(s) must be picked-up vice being dropped off with DMO.    ​
