A retired Marine’s spouse received one of three Kawasaki 900 STX jet skis and trailers valued at $7,500 in the Miller Brewing Company Summer of Taste promotion and the Marine Corps Community Services Designated Driver program sweepstakes.

“I went into the Wine and etc store by the exchange and saw the entry box and just signed up,” said Janet Graham, a Swansboro resident. “I have always liked jet ski’s and had never had a chance to get one.”

Graham decided that instead of keeping this gift for herself she would use it to get a gift for her husband and traded the jet ski in for a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle for him.

The Designated Driver Program is designed to promote responsible use of alcohol and to let patrons know safety matters and drinking responsibly matters. Marine Corps Community Services partnered with Miller Brewing Company to secure three of the 16 jet skis which were to be awarded to members of the military services in the promotion.

“It’s always great to be able to support our troops, especially the Marines,” said Mark Neuwirth, former Marine Corps CH-46 helicopter pilot, and national account manager for Miller Brewing Company’s Military and Concession’s buisiness.
