CAMP LEJEUNE, NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES -- MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River remain under Winter Storm Condition I, with hazardous road conditions limiting personnel and services to essential and limited retail operations through Friday, Jan. 24. Secondary roads remain icy and despite continued plowing and salting, below freezing temperatures have delayed improvement. Black ice continues to present a threat during evening and early morning hours. All personnel should continue to delay travel, unless necessary.
All military and civilian personnel are advised of the following impacts:
- Non-essential personnel are released through Friday, Jan. 24.
- Reduced services and closures of most facilities remain in effect.
- Mess Halls will remain open and essential personnel are authorized to use the mess hall during this weather event.
- DoDEA Schools will be closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
- Please report any power outages to Public Works at 451-3001.
- If you have questions regarding your reporting requirements, please contact your chain of command or work supervisor for guidance.
MCCS Lejeune-New River
- Child Development Centers will remain closed, Friday, Jan. 24.
- Fitness Centers will remain closed, Friday, Jan. 24.
- The following facilities will re-open on Friday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m.

All facilities are subject to early closure depending on weather conditions. Some indirect franchises may open, road conditions permitting.
Commissary
- Commissary locations on MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will re-open on Friday, Jan. 24 with limited hours from noon to 4 p.m.
Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune
- NMCCL is also operating at essential personnel only on Friday, Jan. 24; outpatient services remain closed as well.
Visitor Centers (VC) and Contractor Vetting Offices (CVO)
- The VC at Wilson Gate on Camp Lejeune will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
- The VC at Curtis Gate on MCAS New River remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
- The CVO at Holcomb Gate will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
- The CVO at Piney Green Gate will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
Gate and Bridge Operations
- The Triangle Outpost Gate on MCB Camp Lejeune will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
- The Piney Green Gate on MCB Camp Lejeune will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24.
- The Douglass Gate on MCAS New River will remain closed through Friday, Jan. 24
- The Sneads Ferry Bridge is subject to short-notice closure by the NC Department of Transportation, due to hazardous conditions, which will affect Sneads Ferry Gate operations.
- The Onslow Beach Bridge will be subject to closure due to hazardous conditions as well.
