Base/Air Station returning to normal operations at 12 p.m.; most services to open at 1 p.m.

Effective at 12 p.m. today, MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will secure from Winter Storm Condition One and return to normal operations and most services (MCCS, Commissary, etc.) are scheduled to be restored by 1 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to rise above freezing by 10:30 a.m. and steadily warm throughout the day. Icy conditions still exist on some secondary roads, bridges, overpasses, and other areas not exposed to the sun. Drivers are still urged to use caution when traveling and avoid excessive speeds.

Any roadway sections still impacted by ice and deemed unsafe will remain closed at the discretion of the Provost Marshal and be marked with traffic cones.
