Winter Storm Condition One Set

MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River have set Winter Storm Condition One (WSC I), effective at noon today, as winter precipitation is forecast to impact the community within six hours.

The storm is still expected to produce heavy freezing rain and sleet with accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to a half to three quarters of an inch possible. The community can expect significant freezing rain starting this evening and ending Saturday morning. Below freezing temperatures will make travel hazardous on Saturday and possibly Sunday. Please expect continued curtailment of operations this weekend, if road condition do not improve.

Please note that the Wallace Creek Marine Mart and MCAS New River MCX will close at 3 p.m. today. For continued updates on closures to MCCS services, please visit their website or social media pages.

If you experience a power outage, please report it to the appropriate person.
    Personnel living in the barracks or BOQ should report any power outages or damage to their barracks manager.
    Personnel living on base should report any power outages or damage to their PPV housing office maintenance line.
