MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Due to the high potential for severe weather across the area Thursday afternoon, MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will be releasing non-essential personnel at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021.
On both Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River, child development centers will close at 4 p.m., and Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) activities, including Marine Marts and Exchanges, will close at 4:30 p.m. Please visit https://www.mccslejeune-newriver.com for specific details on MCCS closures and delays.
Range Control will remain open to support ongoing training, and all mess halls will observe normal hours of operation.
Essential personnel and shift workers should contact their chain of command or work supervisor for reporting instructions.
Military and civilian personnel of tenant commands who have questions regarding specific reporting circumstances should contact their chain of command or work supervisor for instruction.
Note: Commanders at all levels retain prerogative to deviate from any changes in reporting instructions for operational, training or safety reasons.
MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune expects to resume normal operations on Friday, March 19, 2021.
