The All-Marine boxing Hall of Fame class of 2016 celebrates their inductions as the first class of inductees to be recognized for the honor at Goettge Field House on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, April 16. Nearly 50 former Marine boxers, coaches and support personnel (including another 25 who were added posthumously) made history as they round out the first class of its kind.

Bailey was one of nearly 80 volunteers for this event that showcased what students have been learning through the STEM program.

Jonathan Owen, a machine gunner with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, receives his award as the honor graduate and “Gung Ho” recipient during Sergeant’s Course Class 5-16 graduation at the base theatre on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Fe.4. According to Master Sgt. Charity Sullivan, the sergeant’s course staff noncommissioned officer in charge, Owens finished with a grade point average in the top ten percent of the class, a first class physical fitness test and led his class by displaying a high level of dedication. The sergeants who attended the class received 24 hours of administration and communication classes, 92 hours of leadership classes and 44 hours of war fighting classes during the five-week course.

Johnson donated the car, a 2003 Lincoln Towncar, in honor of his wife Fran, who passed away over year ago.
