Base to cancel non-essential services due to weather Tuesday afternoon

Due to forecasted treacherous road conditions, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune non-essential civilian and military personnel will be released at 1p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 and will observe a three hour delay Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Camp Lejeune Dependents Schools were closed today, and staff and students will observe a three hour delay Wednesday.

The commissary and Main Exchange will close at 2 p.m. The child development centers will close at 2 p.m. A select number of Marine Marts will remain open until 5 p.m. including the Hadnot Point, Stone Bay, Naval Hospital and housing area locations. The Wallace Creek Fitness Center will close at 6 p.m. All Marine Corps Community Service activities and retail stores will observe a three hour opening delay Wednesday. All Camp Lejeune gates will remain open.
