ITT, All Points Travel: All fun, no fuss

14 Jul 2009 | Sgt. T.D. Smith Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune

Want to take a vacation from planning your vacation and save a load of cash? Then the Information, Tickets and Tours and All Points Travel offices are the place for you.

Even for those who are so far behind the power curve that they don’t even know where they want to vacation, ITT has you covered. Brochures from venues all over the East Coast fill racks that look like a jigsaw-puzzle wiz arranged them. If you don’t find what you fancy there just ask one of the knowledgeable staff for help.

“We all have our areas of expertise,” said Eric Sullivan, ITT information consultant. “I find a lot of discounts in Europe that people can’t beat. If I don’t have the information on a place that interests you somebody else in the office will.”

If you can’t decide where in the world you want to go, then go to Disney World, which has something for everyone. The happiest place on Earth has an offer making military members the happiest customers on Earth.

Active duty and retired service members can get free tickets, at the base ITT for a five day entrance with park hopper, into Disney World or Land. The offer, which lets friends and families accompanying a military member in for $99, is good until December 23. The friend and family pass lets them into one park per day, but can be upgraded to a park-hopper pass for an additional $25. The normal price for such a package runs about $339 for those 10-years-old and up.

Additionally, a 40 percent discount for on-site resorts is offered for lodging accommodations. However, this is dependent on room availability. If no rooms are available, it’s not a problem, because ITT has that base covered too.

“We have contracts with hotels,” said Dawn Eden, manager and travel consultant with ITT and All Points Travel. “We can book reservations for hotels, condos or cabins at a deeply discounted price. Service members definitely need to come to us first when planning a vacation, because we can find deals, for both lodging and transportation, that aren’t on the internet.”

If you would prefer to stay local, ITT can knockout boredom, like Ali in his prime. Located in Wilmington, Jungle Rapids is a great place to cool off and have fun. You can get a discounted pass on base for $21 for those 49 inches and up and $16.50 for those below that. Discounts are also available for those who want to tour the Battleship North Carolina.

Whatever your leisure needs may be, stop by the ITT and All Points Travel office, located near the main exchange next to the video store, and let them build a vacation package for you. You can visit their Web site for price listings at mccslejeune.com/itt.html.
