Sergeant Major Jose A Beltran

Sergeant Major Beltran was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in February 1999 and attended Recruit Training at MCRD Parris Island, SC. After completing Supply Warehouse school (3051) in Camp Geiger, NC he reported to Supply Bn, 1st First Service Support Group, Camp Pendleton, CA for duty as a Supply Warehouse clerk.

In January 2001, Sergeant Major Beltran reported to MSSG-13, 13th MEU, Camp Pendleton, CA.  While assigned to the MSSG-13 he deployed with the 13th MEU in support of Operation Anaconda, Afghanistan. In June 2002, Sergeant Major Beltran reported to Medical Logistics Company, 1st FSSG, Camp Pendleton, CA. Sergeant Major Beltran deployed with CSSB-12, MedLog Company Detachment, I MEF to Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Sergeant Major Beltran honorably discharged from the Marine Corps.

In March 2004, Sergeant Major Beltran reenlisted and was assigned to RS Orlando, RSS Kissimmee, FL. In September 2004, he received orders to Military Police School (5811) in Ft Leonard Wood, MO. Upon Graduation he received orders to 1st FSSG, MP Company Camp Pendleton, CA. In September 2005 Sergeant Major Beltran deployed with MP Company to Iraq in support of OIF 04-05 and 06-07. In October 2006, Sergeant Major Beltran reported to Drill Instructor School, San Diego, CA. Sergeant Major Beltran reported to Alpha Co, 1st Bn and served as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Series Chief Drill Instructor. In January 2009 Sergeant Major Beltran reported to Provost Marshal’s Office as the SNCOIC North District, Okinawa, Japan. In January of 2012, Sergeant Major Beltran received PCA orders to Bravo Co, III Law Enforcement Bn, III MHG, III MEF, as the Company GySgt. On December 2012, Sergeant Major Beltran reported to MARFORRES, New Orleans, La as the Provost Sergeant.

In June 2015 Sergeant Major Beltran reported to Bravo Company, 4th Amphibious Assault Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Jacksonville, Florida where he served as the Inspector–Instructor First Sergeant. In May 2018 Sergeant Major Beltran executed orders to 7th Communication Bn, III MIG, III MEF, where he served as the Service Company First Sergeant.

In February 2019 Sergeant Major Beltran was promoted to his current rank. In March 2019, Sergeant Major Beltran reported to 3d Transportation Support Battalion, CLR-3, 3D MLG, Camp Foster, Okinawa Japan as the Battalion Sergeant Major. In December 2019, Sergeant Major Beltran received orders to 5th ANGLICO, III MIG, III MEF Okinawa Japan where he served as the 5th ANGLICO’s Sergeant Major. In May 2021, SgtMaj Beltran received orders to Weapons Training Battalion (WTBN), Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Sergeant Major Beltran’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3).
