Winter Weather Advisory, Jan. 28-29

The installation will maintain normal operations today, Jan. 28, 2022, but will delay non-essential operations until noon, Jan. 29.

Base/Air Station returning to normal operations at 12 p.m.; most services to open at 1 p.m.

Effective at 12 p.m. today, MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will secure from Winter Storm Condition One and return to normal operations and most services (MCCS, Commissary, etc.) are scheduled to be restored by 1 p.m.

Roads remain hazardous, opening of services delayed until noon Sunday

Due to hazardous icy road conditions, MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will delay or cancel the reopening of programs, retails stores, and services (including religious services) with normal weekend hours of operation until noon Sunday, Jan. 23.

Winter Storm Condition One Set

MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River have set Winter Storm Condition One (WSC I), effective at noon today, as winter precipitation is forecast to impact the community within six hours.

MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River have set Winter Storm Condition Two (WSC II), effective immediately, as winter precipitation is forecasted for the community within 24 hours. The forecasted storm is expected to produce heavy freezing rain and sleet with accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to a quarter to a half inch possible. The storm is expected to impact the community beginning late Thursday night through early Saturday morning.

Updated COVID-19 Vaccine Site and Testing Information

Effective Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, there will be several changes to the COVID-19 vaccination sites. The vaccine site located at Wallace Creek Fitness Center will cease operations on Friday, Jan. 7 at noon.
