The goal of Community Relations (COMREL) is to foster and support the Military-Civilian relationship between MCB Camp Lejeune and local, state and national communities. Through COMREL, the MCIEAST MCB Camp Lejeune Communication Strategy & Operations (COMMSTRAT) Office strives to boost public awareness of the unique role and contributions of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune through direct interaction with Marines, their families, and their equipment.

Expand List item 13085Collapse List item 13085  Requesting Support

Requests for community relations support (static displays, color guards, parade participants, etc.) must be submitted by the event organizer or representative to the MCIEAST MCB Camp Lejeune COMMSTRAT Office via email at:

cljn_globe_mail@usmc.mil

In order to determine eligibility and request Feasibility of Support (FOS) with the appropriate Base staff and/or major commands.

Due to the operational tempo of Marine Corps units stationed on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, requests for community relations support should be submitted in sufficient time so that an eligibility determination can be made. Requestors should send Feasibility of Support requests to the offices listed below no later than 90 days prior to the event date. Requests received less than 90 days prior to the event day will be unsupportable.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Band Requests: Marine Corps Band requests can be made directly with the Second Marine Division Bandmaster at https://www.music.marines.mil/Bands/2nd-Marine-Division-Band-North-Carolina/

Aviation Support Requests: To request Aviation Support (fixed or rotary wing) in support of community events, please visit https://www.marines.mil/Community/Asset-Requests/Aviation-Requests/

Non-Aviation Requests: To request Non-Aviation support (color guard, ground equipment, Marine Corps speakers, parade participants, etc.) for a community event, please download DD Form 2536 and e-mail the completed request to mcieastcommstrat@usmc.mil.

Potential VIPs within the group should also be identified. Submission requests are not a guarantee of support.

Groups must be recognized Civic, Private, or Military Organizations. Group size should be between 10 - 45 persons. Determination of Feasibility of Support (FOS) for group visits is based on several factors (Base Force Protection Level, availability of resources, safety/risk management, etc).

Waiver of Liability forms will be required to be signed by all approved guests.

If you have any questions regarding submission requirements, scheduling availability, etc., please contact the Communication Strategy & Operations Office at cljn_globe_mail@usmc.mil.

Note: Submissions are not guaranteed approval. All tour requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis considering several factors which include FPCON, HPCON, availability of resources and other competing operational requirements. All submissions are also subject to access control requirements and approval is contingent upon having proper identification credentials and establishment of current/historic fitness (background checks).
