Mission

The Range Control Branch (RCB) controls all training ranges, facilities, and maneuver areas aboard Camp Lejeune for use by operational forces, Training and Education Command (TECOM) formal schools, other Department of Defense (DoD) services, and authorized Federal, state, and local agencies to ensure safe and efficient use.

The OIC/RSO class is conducted every Friday and can facilitate a maximum of 64 students. Registration begins at 0630 and ends at 0715. The class will begin shortly after conclusion of registration. Students can expect the class to end around 1030.

Coordinating Instructions:

  • Students should park at the Western parking lot of Building 1043 (on the right side of the building as you face it from Duncan Street), on the radio tower side.
  • Students should form a line at the door on the western side of the building near the tower.
  • Students must bring a printed copy of their current diploma from the prerequisite MarineNet Course RTAMRSOCAA.
  • Students requiring a Laser Range Safety certification will require their diploma from MarineNet Course RTAMLRSOAA
  • Diplomas older than 3 years are not valid. Users will have to retake the Marine Net course prior to attending the OIC/RSO class.
  • Students are reminded to bring something to write with for taking notes and to take the test upon completion of the course.
  • Army personnel are required to complete ALMS Level 4 Range Safety Course and bring a printed copy of their diploma.
