U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Scott Peirson with Battalion Landing Team 1/8, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), rides in a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 36 (Reinforced) for a simulated Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel mission during Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) over the Atlantic Ocean, April 24, 2024. The 24th MEU and Wasp (WSP) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) are conducting COMPTUEX, their final at-sea, certification exercise under the evaluation of Carrier Strike Group 4 and Expeditionary Operations Training Group.
