Col. Daniel J. Lecce, the new commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, addresses the crowd during a change-of-command ceremony at Paradise Point Officers’ Club aboard the base, June 25. Lecce most recently served as the staff judge advocate for 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, and replaces Col. Richard P. Flatau Jr., outgoing commanding officer of the base, who is retiring from the Marine Corps after 27 years of active-duty service.
