ID Card Center

Walk-in services are offered each Friday from 7:30am to 2:15 pm. Monday through Thursday, appointments will take priority. Walk-ins for Lost or stolen IDs (with proper documentation) will not be turned away.

MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune has a dress code for entering any military establishment on base by order of the Commanding General. Please understand you can be refused services if you are not wearing appropriate military or civilian attire in accordance with the commanding general's order. 

When coming to DEERS/ID Card Center, the general rule of thumb is “better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.” The following information does cover what is needed for each type of typical appointment however, when in doubt, bring all original vital documents to your scheduled appointment.

An appointment is required for every individual being served. Example, if you are getting new IDs for 3 children and a spouse, 4 appointments are required.

Due to unplanned network outages and other unforeseen circumstances, we may be unable to provide services from time to time. If you have an urgent requirement, please call the ID Card Center before your scheduled appointment or before your arrival to verify that operations are normal. Thank you for your patience.

DEERS/RAPIDS no longer allows ID cards to be issued without a primary form (non-expired photo ID) and secondary form of ID scanned into the DEERS file. This is an effort to bring all files to compliance with DEERS policy. Members presenting themselves for any ID card issuances without two forms of proper ID will be denied service until proper identification can be presented. 

CACs are no longer accepted as either primary or secondary ID.

The Hospital Proof of Birth Letter is NOT an acceptable document for enrolling a newborn at any ID Card Center in accordance with 32 CFR Part 161 Subpart D § 161.23 (b)(3) Child, unmarried, under the age of 21.

DD Form 1172-2 cannot be accepted, if the document was completed on ID Office Online, and the form is printed blank. Sponsors are highly encouraged to go to the nearest DEERS/ID Card Center and fill out DD Form 1172-2. The ID Card Center will scan the form into the DEERS Rapids system. Once in the system, the form can be verified. If you cannot fill out the DD Form 1172-2 at the ID Card Center, it is REQUIRED that the sponsor provides a Power of Attorney for their family member to receive services at the ID Card Center, without the sponsor being present.

As a reminder, DEERS/IDCC personnel do not handle questions regarding TRICARE.

All CAC Pin Resets on MCB Camp Lejeune are conducted in building 60, room 161. Please call 910-451-6737 with any CAC pin reset questions.

 

For ID renewals, you must be within 90 days of the cards expiration to receive a new ID. Exceptions made for deployments (with deployment letter listing departure and return date), or PCS to a location without a DEERS/ID Card Center (with orders).

To verify your eligibility for issuance of a Command Access Card (CAC) or another type of ID, you must present two (2) valid forms of identification. The primary document must be a valid photo ID. All the documentation must be original or certified true copies. Copies of original or certified true copies are not acceptable. Children under the age of 18 are required to bring original, state certified, birth certificate and original, unlaminated, social security card (no copies or pictures) for all DEERS/ID card interactions.

Expand List item 13235Collapse List item 13235  Using State Driver's License as an Identity Document

When issuing DoD ID cards to customers, we are required to enter an expiration date for most identity documents in RAPIDS.

Active-duty Service members and their eligible dependents may present a state driver's license with no expiration date. If the expiration date of a state driver's license is blank or displays ''military,'' the VO is required to enter the following as the expiration date of the driver's license:

The expiration date of the DoD ID card being issued, or

Up to three years from the current date (whichever is sooner).

DMDC will no longer allow DEERS/RAPIDS Sites to utilize an EXPIRED State Driver’s License as an identity document. The extension issued for an expired driver’s license is for driving privileges ONLY. It does not apply to identity documentation.

When using a state driver’s license as a form of acceptable identification, a PHOTO IS REQUIRED. We cannot accept the temporary license issued during the renewal process unless your photo is printed on the document. If you have renewed your license and only have the paper copy without a photo, it can no longer be accepted unless you present your expired license at the same time.

REMEMBER, THE DEPENDENT ID CARD IS A PRIVILEGE CARD. At no time can a dependent receive an id card without proper identification or documentation.

Note: The ID Card Center is CLOSED all weekends, Federal holidays, and occasional hours as deemed necessary by management. We reserve the right to refuse service if a situation is considered inappropriate. Should you encounter a problem, please ask to speak to a supervisor.

Walk-ins will be served on Fridays only; walk-ins during the rest of the week will be seen on a case-by-case basis with Supervisor or Site Security Manager approval only (lost/stolen ID cards will be seen with proper documentation).

The Camp Lejeune DEERS/ID Card has no authority or responsibility in preparing a SAAR or obtaining digital signatures. However, we are authorized to put a default email on the CAC, allowing the user to digitally sign forms. This is an ISC/Organizational Network Administrator function. For further assistance beyond the Network Administrator call the Enterprise Help Desk 855-373-8762.

IAW with C4I and HQMC Project Officers policy, we do not maintain door access issuance of any CAC or blank card. This information is completed by the Unit Security Manager, not the DEERS/ID Card Center. We do not provide door access or security access for any buildings and do not handle RFI issues.

CACs will not be reissued due to physical building or room access issues. We will test the technology on the card and if functional, the CAC will not be replaced. Contact your physical security manager to request EPAC software update.

If the sponsor cannot come in with a dependent to update an ID card, please utilize the ID card office online https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/ to complete the DD-Form 1172-2 digitally. This form is required every time a family member renews or is reissued an ID card. For initial enrollments of spouse or children, spouse must have a Power of Attorney.

If you have lost your identification card or it was stolen, you must complete the form below. You will need to file a report with the Provost Marshal's Office (PMO) in Building 60, Room 143. A representative from PMO will sign and stamp the form. Additionally, a representative (E8 or higher) from your chain of command will  need to sign the form before a new identification card can be issued to you.
