CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River are currently under Winter Storm Condition I, signifying winter weather will begin to impact our installations in the next six hours.
MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will remain open for essential operations only. Reduced services and closures of most facilities, including child development centers, fitness centers, franchisee’s/third party vendors, Marine Marts, the Marine Corps Exchange and the Commissary will begin today and remain closed until Jan. 23.
The Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River Visitor Centers will close at 1 p.m. today and will remain closed until Jan. 23 at noon, pending weather conditions. The Contractor Vetting Offices at Holcomb Gate and Piney Green Gate will operate under normal hours today and remain closed until Jan. 23 at noon, pending weather conditions.
Gate and Bridge Operations
- The Triangle Outpost Gate on MCB Camp Lejeune will remain closed until 3 p.m. on Jan. 23, pending weather conditions.
- The Piney Green Gate will close at 5 p.m. today through Jan. 22 with the intent to reopen on Jan. 23 at noon, pending weather conditions.
- The Sneads Ferry Bridge is subject to short-notice closure by the NC Department of Transportation, due to hazardous conditions, which will affect Sneads Ferry Gate operations.
- The Onslow Beach Bridge will be subject to closure due to hazardous conditions as well. Due to safety precautions of patrons and emergency responders, Onslow Beach patrons are being evacuated today, Jan. 21.
- The Douglass Gate on MCAS New River will close today at 1 p.m. today and remain closed Jan. 22-23. The Douglass Gate will resume normal operating hours on Friday, Jan. 24, pending weather conditions.
