The Vietnam Veterans Memorial stands in honor of those who have served our country in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Nov. 5, 2020. Veterans Day is a time of reflection and an opportunity to give recognition to men and women who have served in the armed services throughout history. “To devote yourself to this country and sacrifice time with your family, and possibly even your life for the love of your country says a lot about service members’ character,” said U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Brenden McDaniel, commanding officer, Bravo Company, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations-East, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. “I am proud to be part of an organization that carries so much pride and honor.” (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
