The Assistant Chief of Staff, G-6 serves as principal staff to the Commanding General, Marine Corps Installations East-Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (MCIEAST-MCB CAMLEJ), North Carolina, and oversees all matters related to Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication (COMM) services provided in the Region, with a primary focus on the Installation Communications Grid supporting the Fleet Marine Forces, Tenants and Supporting Establishment.

The Knowledge Management Division (KMD) facilitates efficient information sharing and enhanced operational effectiveness for Marines. We manage critical technologies and provide expert guidance to ensure the effective use of information resources across MCIEAST, empowering Marines to access timely and relevant information, enabling them to make informed decisions and successfully execute their missions. KMD oversees a range of capabilities, including web services, applications, and knowledge-sharing platforms, ensuring MCIEAST maintains a robust and interconnected information environment.

We provide expert guidance and support to the AC/S, G-6 on a wide range of policies and strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, Marine Corps Installations Command, and MCIEAST-MCBCAMLEJ regulations. From planning and project execution to user awareness and network security, G-6 Operations is committed to maintaining a robust and reliable IT infrastructure. Our regional Watch provides continuous monitoring and reporting of all service interruptions, ensuring swift response and minimal disruption to operations.

  • If your unit is deploying, remember to have your phone numbers deactivated or “suspended” to prevent un-authorized use via your TCO.
  • If you are having problems with your existing telephone service, please call (910) 451-1114, and then select option 1, to report it to the trouble desk for repair.
  • The “Let's Talk” Pamphlet is a quick reference guide to the telephone system aboard MCB Camp Lejeune.  It lists feature descriptions, how to activate these features, emergency numbers, voice mail commands and dialing instructions.
  • For automated attendant call (910) 451-1113. For directory assistance/information, please view the phone directory.

The MCIEAST G-6 Watch Floor provides situational awareness, incident reporting, and command and control (C2) support to Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST).

Watch Floor personnel actively track and report significant events across the region to ensure timely, accurate information flow to MCIEAST Commanding General, MCICOM, and supported commands.

In addition to real-time monitoring, the Watch Floor provides battle rhythm support, maintains common operational pictures (COPs), and serves as the focal point for after-hours communication and escalation for G-6 related matters.
