Foster networking and information sharing to support small businesses.

Ensure small businesses socio-economic goals are met.

Good morning businesses, 17 Aug 2026 and thirty-four working days left until the end of Fiscal Year 2026!

If you want to be competitive for upcoming opportunities during this time you must check the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) and GSA EBuy (https://www.ebuy.gsa.gov/ebuy/) every day.  Make sure you are looking for sources sought and intents to sole source in addition to solicitations.

Speaking of the System for Award Management, if you renewed your System for Award Management registration between March 2026 and 22 July 2026 please check your SAM registration because:

What happened: In some cases, a "Yes" value may be missing in the Small Business column for NAICS codes for which you may have asserted and qualified as a small business. This affects the information in Representations 52.219-1 and in the Representations and Certifications section of your registration.

What you need to do: Please review your NAICS code size table in SAM.gov.

  • If your NAICS code size table is correct, no further action is needed.
  • If your NAICS code size table is inaccurate, you will need to renew your registration to correct the information.

Why this matters: Contracting officers, agency small business offices, and other awarding officials use the NAICS code size table to determine whether an entity qualifies as a small business for a specific procurement. Ensuring your SAM.gov information is accurate is important if you are pursuing small business opportunities and contracts. For more detail on how size standards are calculated, you can reference the SBA table of small business size standards.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Federal Service Desk at FSD.gov.
