Glenn Zurek, assistant chief of training for the fire department for Marine Corps Installations East – Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and winner of the Firefighter Professional of the Year at the 2012 Onslow County Public Safety Awards Ceremony at City Hall in Jacksonville, N.C., gives his remarks on winning the award Aug. 29. Zurek thanked the chamber of commerce for the recognition and said in reality the whole law enforcement team is what makes public safety possible.
