Brandon Longo, fire chief, Fire and Emergency Services Division, Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune poses for a photo by the Onslow Beach Bridge on MCB Camp Lejeune, Sept. 26, 2023. Longo’s quick actions enabled approximately 2,000 service members and civilians who were trapped on Onslow Beach to drive back over the bridge by fixing the main driving piston underneath it which had prevented it from turning to allow drivers to cross over.
