Camp Lejeune Photos
Told by doctors that his son, Michael, would probably never walk, Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooney returned to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune from Afghanistan in December, unaware that his son would soon walk straight into his arms. Michael’s development was kept secret from Cooney during his deployment, biding time for Michael and those who cared for him to further advance his new mobility.
