Members of the honorary party show off autographed portraits of retired Sgt. Maj. Gilbert “Hashmark” Johnson, during a ceremony honoring African-American Marines who served in the Marine Corps in the 1940s aboard Montford Point Camp, now known as Camp Johnson, Aug. 26. Montford Point Camp was renamed after Johnson in 1974.
