MCB CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune will host a small business outreach event at Coastal Carolina Community College, May 19, to educate businesses on how to become eligible and compete for Department of War contracts.
This event is an opportunity to meet with multiple contracting and procurement offices, whose mission is to help individuals grow their businesses and also learn about the North Carolina-based support organizations available to assist small businesses.
Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of the support available to their business as well as insights into the effective employment of artificial intelligence and general information on upcoming opportunities.
“This event’s objective is to help participants understand the fundamentals of various procurement processes, and what it takes to be eligible and competitive for government contracts, as well as provide some concrete ideas for leveraging opportunities,” said Small Business Professional Chris Rabassi, Office of Small Business Programs, Marine Corps Installations East-MCB Camp Lejeune. “Hopefully, businesses will leave empowered with a better understanding of doing business with the government.”
This free event will be held at Coastal Carolina Community College, Melton Skills Center, 444 Western Blvd. Jacksonville, NC 28546. Registration is required and limited to the first 100 people.
