“Our goal is to make it easier for our Marines, Sailors, families, retirees and civilian teammates to share this celebration with the people who matter most to them,” said Col. Gregory B. Pace, Commander, Marine Corps Installations East-Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. “By allowing eligible Department of War-affiliated personnel to escort guests directly onto the installation for this event, we’re simplifying the process, reducing delays at the gate, and helping our community spend less time waiting and more time enjoying Independence Day together. While we’ve streamlined access for this year’s celebration, installation security remains our top priority.”
