CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Warmer temperatures have made road conditions aboard base more favorable today and a number of services are beginning to return.
Most of the main roads around Mainside have been cleared and the Sneads Ferry Bridge is now open. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution as icy conditions still exist on less-traveled roads and sidewalks.
All Camp Lejeune gates will remain open with the exception of the Piney Green entrance which will be closed until Monday.
The Visitors Center will reopen tomorrow at 7 a.m. and resume normal operations.
The commissary will remain closed until tomorrow, however the Hadnot Point, Mainside, Midway Park, Berkeley Manor, Camp Geiger, and Naval Hospital Marine Marts are currently open and will observe normal hours of operation. The Main Exchange is scheduled to open at 11:30 a.m. today.
The Wallace Creek Fitness Center opened at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to close at 6 p.m. No other fitness centers will open today.
Onslow Beach remains closed.
Tarawa Terrace Community Center will remain closed today but expect to reopen tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Today, Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune and its branch medical clinics have been operating on a delayed schedule. Normal operations began at 9:30 a.m.
