Reduced hours at the Triangle Outpost (TOP) Gate begin tomorrow, March 12. The gate will remain open from its 24-hour cycle until 8 a.m. and then re-open from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on March 12.

Regular operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 8 a.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. The TOP Gate will be closed on weekends and holiday liberty periods.

During the first 90 days of implementation, the installation will conduct a comprehensive traffic study to determine what impacts, if any, the new TOP Gate hours have on traffic flow through other gates and adjust if necessary.
Installation leaders will work with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the City of Jacksonville to monitor the timing of traffic lights along NC-24 to account for potential increases in traffic between NC-172 and the Camp Lejeune Main Gate.

Reminders:

• Personnel are recommended to use the Piney Green Gate (weekdays only) or Holcomb Gate (24/7), along NC-24, when the TOP Gate is closed.
• Wilson, Holcomb and Sneads Ferry Gates remain open 24/7. Piney Green Gate hours remain Monday through Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for inbound traffic and 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for outbound traffic. The Piney Green Gate is closed on weekends and holiday liberty periods.
