Golf Battery 2nd Battatlion 10th Marines Regiment cannoneer Marines fire blank rounds from 155 mm Howitzer used during a Memorial Day 21 gun salute at the parade deck May 27. More than two dozen residents and veterans attended the ceremony. Teams of three cannonier Marines fired blank rounds from four Howitzers. Blank rounds are used during ceremonies for their visual effect and for safety. The garrison flag flew at half-mast during the ceremony.
