Pallets of meals-ready-to-east sit on the pier at Morehead City, N.C. awaiting to be loaded onto the amphibioius assault ships USS Bataan, Carter Hall and Fort McHenry, Jan. 15, 2009. The 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit will deploy to the earthquake-ravaged Caribbean nation of Haiti to conduct sea-based humanitarian assisstance and disaster relief.
