MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - An observance ceremony was held Sunday to remember those who lost their lives on Oct. 23, 1983. They left our shores to go to Beirut, Lebanon, in peace, according to Jan B. Slagle, the mayor of the city of Jacksonville. And what they found was violence and a suicide bomber's explosion that ended their lives. Photo by: Lance Cpl. Adam Johnston
