Retired Sgt. Maj. Eddie Neas, a Vietnam veteran, speaks to more than 1,000 service members at the first presentation of the documentary “Against the Odds, the Marines at Hue” at the Base Theater aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Feb. 27. The theater was filled to capacity as Neas, one of many Vietnam veterans in attendance, recanted his time in the battle of Hue City and answered questions about the conditions the Marines fought in. The battle of Hue City is regarded as one of the deadliest battles in Marine Corps history at that time.
