Maya, a race participant, displays her race number before heading to the start line during the Marine Corps Community Services’ 5K Labor Day Fun Run aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Sept. 2. Maya and other service members, families, Department of Defense civilians and retired military members completed the three-mile race in spite of threatening hurricane conditions.
