Service members, retirees and friends within the local community gathered together at the Jacksonville American Legion, July 31, to enjoy ‘A Summers Night with our Heroes,’ an event, to raise money for the Museum of the Marine. As patrons moseyed around the building, they were able to observe the old World War II and Vietnam War vehicles. Live mannequins dressed in period uniforms gave a taste of how the Marine Corps has evolved over the years, while it brought to life a bit of history. ::n::
