The sun sets over one of Goose Creek State Park's natural sand beaches. Located less than two hours from Camp Lejeune, Goose Creek State Park offers beautiful views, recreational opportunities and a chance to get out in nature at a surprisingly low cost. The park spans 1,700 acres of wetlands in Beaufort County, east of Washington, N.C. Military members and their families may enjoy the park’s reasonable camping options, environmental education and children’s programs.
