Traffic Advisory: No through Traffic on Sneads Ferry Road, Oct. 21, 2109 to Feb. 20, 2020
Beginning Oct. 21, 2019, Sneads Ferry Road will undergo repairs to replace culverts at three separate locations along the road. Only one work site will be active at a time, with the road closing 250 feet before and after the project work site. During this project, no through traffic will be allowed on Sneads Ferry Road between Marines Road and Lyman Road. All privately owned vehicles will be detoured using Highway 172 and Lyman Road.
Please note the detour route will be closed Nov. 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in support of training. Highway 172 will open at the top of every hour to allow traffic to transit the alternate route and will be open from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Once the final project site begins on Jan. 22, 2020, vehicle traffic will have an alternate route around the final work site by using McHugh Blvd. at the intersection of Sneads Ferry Road.
Authorized vehicles, which include Fire & Emergency Services, tactical vehicles, government vehicles and contracted vehicles are authorized to use the tank trail that runs parallel to Sneads Ferry Rd. As a reminder, privately owned vehicles are not authorized to use any tank trails on Camp Lejeune unless you have a range/hunting pass. PMO will continue to enforce this regulation. Signage will be in place to direct traffic to the alternate route.
Traffic Advisory Update: Lyman Road now open, but lane reductions in effect
Lyman Road is now open! Single lane closures will be in effect during non-peak travel times for paving operations.
Military Personnel Notice: Update on Hurricane Florence Travel Claim Reimbursements
Do you have questions about the status of your Hurricane Florence travel claim? If you are still waiting to be paid for your approved travel during Hurricane Florence, contact your unit's local S-1 administrative office where you originally submitted the claim to find out the status of your claim and if any action is required by you. Several reoccurring mistakes have been identified when submitting a claim to include the following:
- Authorizing Official signature or date missing.
- Copy of evacuation orders not submitted with the claim.
- Dependent claims submitted under the name of the member or incorrect Electronic Funds Transfer information. Payment cannot be made to a member's account for a dependent's claim. A separate claim with separate payment information is required. This applies when the member evacuated separately and did not claim dependents on their own evacuation claim.
If you haven't submitted an evacuation claim, you are still eligible to do so. More than $17M has already been paid out. For all questions about submitting an evacuation claim or the status of a previously-submitted claim, contact your unit's S-1 administrative office.
Base Personnel Notice: Regional Service Desk has transitioned to Enterprise Service Desk
The Regional Service Desk (DSN: 312-451-1019) has been transitioned to the Enterprise Service Desk (DSN: 322-915-3333/ COMM:1-855-373-8762) to provide support for all Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) Information Technology hardware, software and network IT service requests. The Enterprise Service Desk will serve as the user-facing “hub” for MCEN IT support and be responsible for resolving or facilitating the resolution of issues presented by all supported personnel. The ESD’s most active role will be to support the Incident Management (IM) process and work closely with the regional IT support structure that already exists. All customers should contact the ESD at 1-855-373-8762 (DSN: 322-915-3333) for MCEN IT support.
Personnel Notice: DLA Document Services transitions to Strategic Data Services
Effective immediately, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Document Services has closed its facility on Post Lane in Building 80 on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, and it has opened a new DLA Strategic Data Services customer relations office in Building 906 adjacent to the corner of Louis Road and Hickory Street. These changes were made as a result of restructuring within DLA in an effort to transition the Department of Defense from onsite, transactional processes to online and consultative services which included reducing the number of facilities DLA manages and replacing them with a Customer Relations Specialist. DLA's CRSs will be able to assist you with all of their products and services. These changes will allow DLA to continue providing the best quality and value services to meet your current and future needs.
As a result of this restructuring, DLA Strategic Data Services now offers expanded services in addition to printing services, scanning and conversion, and office device management.
