New four-lane divided highway system from the intersection of Bougainville Drive and Camp Knox Road to the intersection of Brewster Boulevard and Charles Street. The scope of work also includes widening Brewster Boulevard (to 4 Lanes) from the Charles Street intersection all the way to Holcomb Boulevard, and the realignment of all utilities systems running along Brewster Blvd. The crossing of Northeast Creek will be facilitated by the construction of a 2000-foot reinforced concrete-deck slab bridge. |
Substantial construction activity on Brewster Blvd: modified vehicle traffic patterns with increased construction trucks and heavy equipment as vehicle lanes are constructed; traffic congestion with intermittent delays; extended closure of Brewster Blvd bike path and Brewster Blvd closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic until further notice. Three lanes of traffic will be maintained from Holcomb to Stone Street. |
