Traffic Advisory: Portion of NC-172 closed for bridge repair May 22 - Nov. 2

The Freeman Creek Bridge, 5 miles south of the Triangle Outpost (Hubert/Swansboro) Gate on NC-172 will be closed for renovations May 22 - November 2.

Commuters wishing to utilize NC-172 as a thru route will be detoured to Lyman Road and Sneads Ferry Road to bypass the construction. NC-172 will remain open for local traffic allowing access to all ranges and training areas adjacent to the highway.

Further advisories will be distributed if the situation changes.
